Ah moving we shall go!

So we've settled on two apartment complexs. One is the townhouse and another is a 3 bedroom apartment. We also found a house we're going to go look at tonight at 6pm. They're asking $950 on rent, but, they're willing to go to $750 "if they like us and thing we'll be good renters". *rolling eyes* $750 would be great for a house! I hope they like us. I mean, what's not to like? We're a quiet little family. Most of the time....
So since we are for sure moving, i'm having a moving sale this weekend to get rid of a lot of junk we have. Plus Kota's grandma is getting him a walker for Christmas. Just what we need. A baby flying around the house knocking crap over, lol! So i'm selling a lot of the breakable knick-knacks we have.
I think Kota needs a hair cut. Poor baby's hair is starting to get really long, and it hangs down in his eyes.

That's after a bath. I "spiked" his hair, haha!

Weekend updates!

Saturday
Something amazing happened! Kota sat up on his own!!! :-D I had him propped up with pillows on the bed and I was getting ready to go to the mall, and he kept trying to sit up (he's been doing this for a few weeks now). He stiffens his arms and balls up his little fists and strains to sit up. This time HE DID IT!!! He sat up!!! He was a little wobbly and eventually fell over, but omg, he sat up!!!

Of course, right before I took the pic he started to fall forward, so I have my hand ready to catch him. LOL!
I'm so proud of my little guy *tear* he's becoming a big boy!!
Sunday
Another big event! Kota turned 5 months old! YAY!!!

We also went to look at a few townhouses and apartments this weekend. We saw one that was HUGE and I loved it. Of course, Mason hated it. He said we couldn't fit our couch in the front door, so it was out of the question. He said we'd go look at these townhomes his grandma used to live in because they were really nice and cheap. So while he was at work today, my mom and I went to go look. I'm not impressed. There's no gym, no washer/dryer hookup so you have to use their laundry room ($1.50 a load) and it just doesn't seem that big to me. Plus they have closed in porches, but your porch is connected to someone elses, only divided by a screen. That would be kind of awkward. Mason smokes, so what if he goes onto the porch to smoke, and the person next door doesn't? That could mean problems. The townhouse itsself isn't horrible. It's bigger than our house now, but I don't know, it just kind of feels weird to me. We'll see I guess. At least there is a pool and playground there! I guess I could go jogging around instead of using a gym. Or I could just sneak and get a gym membership somewhere else! ;)

What's really good though, is that the townhouse we'd get is one on the end of the building. So there would only be other people on one side of us. Which is what we wanted! :-D

New makeup and townhouses!

So at Wallyworld the other day, I was farting around in the makeup section and I stumbled upon Wet -N- Wild, a brand I haven't used since I was probably in middle school. That was the first brand of makeup I ever started using, because it was cheap! ;)
They had new eyeshadow's:

® Eyeshadow Trios

"A must have for alluring eyes! This award-winning eye makeup compact contains three complementary eye shadow shades that blend together to highlight and define your eyes. Use one shade or all three shades to create your own personal look!"

They were only $3 (I believe I could be wrong, hubby paid for it, not me lol). I got Venetian Violets and Mojave Mauves.
I'm really surprised! I use the mauves today. I did my makeup around 9am this morning and it's lasted all day, till about 10:30pm when I took a shower and took off my makeup! It did't crease or smear. It faded a very little bit, but still looked fantastic!! For the price, i'm very impressed! :-D

I also convinced hubby to go view a town house. Tomorrow we're going around 1pm. I was on http://www.apartmentratings.com and I looked up our old apartments. 21% of people would recomment living there. How horrible is that?! I looked up the complex we're going to go view tomorrow, and 70% of people would recommend living there. Much better! We'll see how we like it!! :)

Husbands are dumb.

So hubby did something that really pissed me off last night. When he got home from work, we had dinner, then I asked what time he wanted to go view the townhouse. He said he doesn't want to. He said that there is no where for him to put his TOOLS. I said "But it's cheaper, and bigger, and has a pool and playground all this other awesome crap" but he still said there is no where to put his tools. I said there is a porch and a storage thingy outside. But he said he wants a garage.
I got pissed. I told him that the tools can stay with his parents, right down the road. This place is bigger and cheaper and better than our piece of shit house. It'd be better for all of us, especially the baby. He told me to stop trying to make him feel guilty because it wasn't going to work. He should fucking feel guilty! All he's worried about is his tools! He'd rather stay in some piece of shit tiny house so his tools can sit safely in a shed, than live in a bigger, cheaper home with a pool and a playground and a gym. I don't get it. I really don't fucking get it. I told him that was ridiculous and he needed to start thinking about his FAMILY instead of the goddamned tools. He got up and left the room and wouldn't talk to me.
Whatever.
We never did go view the townhouse.

And theeeeen........
I get out of the shower and he's on my laptop. He has his own computer. I ask him why the fuck he's on mine. And guess what he's doing? He's applying for a loan. A fucking $60,000 loan to BUY a house. He went in my purse and got my social security number to get it as a "join loan" or whatever. OMG did that piss me off even more.
He said he figured it would make me happy if we got the loan. Yeah, whatever, it'd be fan-fucking-tastic, but he didn't need to go through my shit to get my SSN! He could of just asked!
I asked him if that meant he found a house he liked (because so far, all the houses we find, he just has to find a problem with it) and he said no, we'd worry about that later if we're approved.

Gah. We're never going to move.

But I did learn that my credit score is better than his.
Nanner nanner! :-D

Anyway.
I'm taking a bunch of clothes and purses I never wear to Plato's closet so I can get some new shirts. And maybe some winter wear. And shoes, of course. I'm obviously thinking that they're going to give me a ton of money for this crap i'm bringing in. But in reality, I think the most I ever got was $20. You could bring in a never worn Juicy Couture track suit, 5 coach bags and Prada shades and they'll tell you they can give you $30 for all of it. Then turn around and make $300 off the crap they just paid you $30 for. Whatever.
But since hubby says right now he can't afford to buy me wintery clothes, i'll take whatever I can get. Because right now, for once, it's like 60 degrees outside. *gasp*
Plus I need some retail therapy. It's been a while.

Maybe I should go exercise...

.... NOT!

Pros and Cons of apartments...

I'm starting to like the idea of apartment living. I made a list of the pros and cons.

Pro's
  • No lawn to mow
  • Something breaks, call maintenance!
  • Pool and playground you never have to clean or take care of!
  • Bigger than our house now
  • Cheaper
  • Close to both of our families
  • Close to Popeyes Chicken (or is that a con? I love their food, but it's so fatty!!)
  • GYM!!!!!! ELLIPTICAL!!!! SWEET JESUS PANTS I LOVE THE ELLIPTICAL!!
Cons
  • Maybe maintenance sucks?
  • People living on the other side of the wall
  • Stairs = EVIL!
  • Popeyes Chicken.
  • It's close to hubby's parents (good for him, I could live without lol)
  • Far away from Kota's pedi.
So, yeah. The biggest pros for me are the gym, pool, it's cheaper and bigger. I guess I can deal with people living on the other side of the wall as long as they aren't douches. I'm making a list of questions to ask the leasing office when we go tonight. The list includes:
  • If someone is noisy, what do we do? If it's 3am do we call the police? Do we report it to the leasing office?
  • If we have a big problem with the people living next door, what do we do? Would we be able to change apartments?

  • How much is it to break the lease if we decide to move?

I really just want to get in the pool and go work out. But we wont be able to move in until December 1st, and it'll probably be cold then and Kota wont want to get in (neither will I). But the playground has baby swings!! How awesome!! Kota's never been on a swing (at least not an outdoor playground swing!). Maybe I'll sneak over there after we look at the townhome and i'll put him on it to see if he likes it, haha!

The lunch of champions: Beech-Nut oatmeal and apples, and Similac Advance!

(Look at that boys face! He's droolin'! Like "Gimmie gimmie gimmie! Yum! Yum!!" lol!)
